Christ the King Senior Housing

Parish surveys, demographics, and market studies have shown a need and support for this type of housing in our southside community.

As a result, an affordable Senior Housing facility was constructed on our campus. Groundbreaking took place on November 21, 2010, at Christ the King Phase 1 Senior Housing. In May of 2016, we expanded and opened Christ the King Phase 2 Senior Housing which led to a combined total of 54 housing units.

Both facilities border SW 9th Street. Christ the King Phase 1 sits on the northwest portion of Christ the King property, on the corner of SW 9th Street and Porter Avenue. This building is a three-story structure with 18 two-bedroom and 10 one-bedroom independent living units. The main housing office is located here. The garden patios surrounding the building are perfect for outdoor activities. Christ the King Phase 2 is located directly across from Phase 1 on SW 9th Street. Phase 2 facility is a three-story structure with 23 two-bedroom and 3 one-bedroom independent living units. Both facilities have common areas, controlled access entry, and elevators.

Facilities include:

  • Each unit will be totally ADA compliant (handicap accessible).

  • Each unit has a washer/dryer, range, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and microwave.

  • Amenities at both locations include access to all parish activities, walking paths, home health care, furnished community rooms, transportation with local busing or ride-share, access to health clinics, and home delivery services.

  • Phase  1 has a fitness area as well as computers available for use in the community room.

  • Phase 2 offers Free WIFI to all tenants.

  • Contact the housing manager for more information regarding monthly rent.  All utilities are included.

  • Age and income restrictions do apply.

Though built through the vision and efforts of members of our parish, Christ the King Housing Services is an independent non-profit corporation. Its operations are overseen by a volunteer board of directors: Bishop Jonsen Vice-Chancellor of the Diocese Jason Kurth, Pastor McManus
